Trialling the delivery of the flu vaccine to our community through a drive through clinic was very worthwhile. We were very fortunate to have the assistance from friends at Ambulance Victoria to run a number of very successful clinics.

Immunisation nurses were able to administer the fluvax to many more clients with the demand for the vaccine much higher this year than past years. Staff were able to minimise the risk of exposure to staff and clients by vaccinating clients as they sat in their cars. Nurses and AV staff were well protected from possible COVID exposure and clients avoided cross contact with each other by waiting in their cars under the supervision of the staff to ensure there were no adverse reactions to the vaccine.
